Development Director
Position’s Core Function
Create, implement, and assess the overall development strategy that supports the short and long-term fundraising goals.
Work closely with the organization's CEO to grow major gifts and focus on expanding SENT’s network for individual and major gift donors.
Strengthen and execute on SENT’s process for maintaining relationships with existing donors.
Location: Remote
Availability: Contract role for 15-20 hours per week

Responsibilities
Develop and implement a fundraising strategy that supports the organization’s ambitious vision and goals. Development goals to be set prior to hire.
Cultivate relationships, facilitate engagement opportunities, and solicit contributions from new and existing donors, organizations, and foundations
Serve as the main point of contact for donor relationships
Lead donor prospecting that align with the mission and values SENT
Collaborate with SENT’s leadership to establish and strengthen relationships
Drive fundraising best practices, including prospecting, donor reporting, and donor communications
Evaluate and develop strategies to effectively drive and grow the organization’s fundraising portfolio
Collaborate with staff to identify and collect compelling content for fundraising materials, including donor reports and grant proposals
Desired Experience & Qualifications
Proven work experience as a Major Gifts Officer, Development Director, or similar role
Outstanding and persuasive written and verbal communication skills with the ability to successfully tailor messaging for different audiences, including donors and other stakeholders
Experience building strong relationships with institutional and individual donors and prospects
Demonstrated success in securing major gifts and growing and managing a fundraising portfolio
High ethical standards, discretion, and confidentiality in working with donor information
A passion for SENT’s mission
Good organizational and time management skills to help keep projects on track
Extremely detail-oriented, adaptive, collaborative growth mindset
