SENT Ventures Announces 2nd Annual Summit for Catholic Business Leaders
2023 event to feature first of its kind “pitch competition” for Catholic Founders
Washington, DC – SENT Ventures, a community of Catholic business builders is excited to announce the second annual SENT Summit: Resurrections, a conference for Catholic founders, CEOs, and business leaders celebrating brilliant business comebacks, pivots and resurrections, April 13-16, 2023 at the Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C. SENT Ventures has partnered with the Ciocca Center for Entrepreneurship to co-host the Summit, which will feature a unique “pitch competition” for five qualifying startups to pitch their innovative ideas to a panel of seasoned Catholic investors.
The 2023 Summit is a unique opportunity for Catholic builders and connectors to come together for a high-impact networking experience geared towards fostering professional relationships and connections with like-minded Catholic professionals. Content and activities will offer participants the opportunity to reflect on the hope of the Resurrection during the Easter Season and explore how this message can impact their ventures and professional work.
"I'm deeply connected in the Silicon Valley ecosystem, but what I've found is that we don't often share the same values, said 2022 Summit participant Mike Delponte, a three-time founder, venture capitalist, and CEO coach, “What was so amazing about last year’s SENT Summit was getting to meet so many smart, inspiring, successful, and talented business leaders. I made a number of new friends, likely lifelong friends. I also received new coaching clients who share my faith and values. Anyone who is serious about both their faith and their profession should go to this conference."
In addition to the demo day, the four-day event will feature small group strategy sessions, multiple forums for networking, opportunities for daily Mass, adoration and reconciliation, and keynote and breakout sessions led by some of the most successful Catholic business leaders in the country. Featured speakers include John Crowley, Founder of Amicus Therapeutics, Nathan Bond, Co-founder of Rifle Paper Co, Valery Pletcher, the Senior Director of Development at FOCUS, and David Mann, Managing Partner of the Firefly Group. With a focus on practical and actionable insights, attendees will leave with valuable strategies and tools to help them grow and succeed in their businesses.
"We are thrilled to be hosting the 2023 Summit at the Catholic University of America," said former investment banker, monk, and SENT Ventures Founder John Cannon. “As business leaders, we often struggle to apply the lessons of our faith to our work directly. At SENT, we believe that the challenges we experience in business can be a tool God uses to sanctify us and to renew creation. If you’re serious about your business and serious about your faith, this event is for you.”
The 2023 Summit is open to Catholic CEOs and business leaders looking to connect with their peers, learn from industry experts, and find new ways to grow and succeed in their businesses. Early bird registration ends January 31 and space is limited so interested parties are encouraged to register as soon as possible.
