Letter from the new SENT Ventures CEO, Nick Madden

I am grateful for the privilege of being able to lead SENT as we head into 2025. John Cannon and I have worked closely together since SENT’s infancy and I’m excited to bring the vision with which he was entrusted to life.

I was blessed to join one of the first Fellowship cohorts with SENT back in 2020. At that time, my business, Red Door Escape Room, had 8 locations across the country and we were just starting to re-open after the COVID shutdowns. As you might guess, this was a very challenging time for me, financially, personally and professionally - the stakes were high with every business decision and I needed to stay strong for my team and my family. The SENT fellows that I began to walk with were a huge reason I was able to navigate that season well. Fast forward to today and SENT has had a tremendous impact on my life holistically, from helping me develop a Rule of Life, to integrating my faith more intentionally into my business, to finding mentors who have challenged my vision and pushed me to dream big. SENT has opened more doors than I could imagine and I am so grateful that the Holy Spirit is opening yet another one with this new role.

As I step back and look at our culture, I see that entrepreneurship has incredible momentum: from students majoring in entrepreneurship, to the “side-hustles” that have become the norm, to the media-ecosystems that have developed around top-level entrepreneurs. As Catholics, it’s critical that we direct this cultural momentum towards the greater glory of God. Our mission at SENT is to support Catholic business owners and executives with the tools they need to take their business to the next level while becoming Saints. We believe that the next generation of Saints will be business leaders and that these leaders will have the power to change our culture.

If you’re reading this, I’d like to personally thank you for partnering with us in unleashing this Spirit-led entrepreneurial movement. Yes, SENT is a “network”, but different from other networks, we are actually a community of friends, people willing to give and receive from one another in Christ’s example of agape love. We are committed to maintaining a no-ego, practical, service-oriented culture so that we can pursue excellence together. SENT is a place where you can build with people just as driven and just as Catholic as you.

Thank you for journeying alongside our team and I look forward to seeing you in the coming months, hopefully at one of our virtual or in-person events.

In His Peace,

Nick Madden
