Meet SENT Fellow Daniel Catone, Founder of Golden State Wealth Management
Financial advisors sometimes have a reputation for prioritizing profit over people. But at Golden State Wealth Management, LLC, SENT Fellow Daniel Catone makes it his mission to deliver service-minded, expert financial advice that defies the stereotype.
Recognized as a Top 40 Financial Advisor Under 40 by Investment News and a Forbes Best-in-State Wealth Advisor in 2022, SENT Fellow Daniel Catone started his career in investment management as a wealth manager for Edward Jones Investments.
Just 4 years later, Daniel founded Redwood Investments in 2005. But Daniel wasn’t done learning about the industry yet. That same year, he also started working as a financial advisor for Wells Fargo, and in 2009 he started with Raymond James, all while juggling his work with Redwood Investments.
At Redwood, Daniel focused on providing his clients with a deep sense of the company’s personal dedication to their well-being through customized services. But Daniel wasn’t content to transform just a small corner of the wealth management industry.
His experience in a variety of firms revealed a widespread need in the industry for service-minded wealth management that was personal, with an approach uniquely customizable to each person and family.
So Daniel assembled a team of executives with over 50 years of combined industry experience who felt the same and who could help bring his vision of offering personalized, service-minded financial advice and wealth management services to life.
In 2013, Golden State Wealth Management, LLC, the first firm of the Golden State family of SEC-registered firms and investment advisors, was born.
Since Golden State’s founding, Daniel and his team have collectively managed over $3 billion in assets under care and helped thousands of financial professionals found their own businesses or practices, pursue their life’s goals, and deliver world class service and asset management.
Today, Golden State’s family of firms and investment advisors continues to fulfill its mission of putting their financial professionals’ and clients’ interests first.
What SENT Fellowship offered Daniel
SENT Fellowship offered Daniel more than just connections. It revitalized his mindset surrounding his work:
“Working in finance can be a lonely place for someone trying to follow Jesus. Joining SENT changed this for me. Meeting men and women with a heart for the Lord and, as He instructed us, wise as serpents, brought new meaning and energy to my work. I expected some networking and making professional contacts, but the real gift of SENT is the holy friendships cultivated by our regular meetings on Zoom and especially in person at the annual conference. I wish I had joined sooner!” - Daniel Catone
Developing your vision and growing your venture takes dedication.
